That’s because uze a lame and you should go to clown school foo. Nah im playin. It just means you human homie. I was just checkin’. I'm still gon’ keep me eye on you tho’. Here are possibly some of the most hilarious, interesting facts to tell your friends. A wise man once said "those who read this blog post are some really cool people." Here at Save The Books Kids, we agree with that wise man. We also appreciate his wisdom and your kind eyes. Read on brothas and sistas.. Read on! Here's some outrageously hilarious and interesting facts to get you through the next weird meeting with the in-laws. Uughh.. Or when you're with that one friend that no one really likes.. Double ughh. Or even if you just need to brush up on some new material for the old homies and homiettes. Dig these blues: 1. A raisin dropped in a glass of fresh champagne will bounce up and down continuously from the bottom of the glass to the top. This just seems like the perfect excuse to drop a raisin in everyone's champagne at a party. “One for you and one for you." They'd be like “HEY!!.. Heeeyyy” 2. Approximately 40,000 Americans are injured by toilets each year. Luckily that's only a drop in the toilet of the United States population, Nevertheless, it a fairly embarrassing # as a country. 3. If a female ferret does not have sex for a year, she will die. Wow. Now that's what I call population control. Take a note congress. Just kidding. Although, if it were men.. I’d consider it. Also just kidding. Maybe. Totally. 4. Ketchup was sold in the 1830s as medicine. Believe it or not. Ketchup was sold in pill form to the populous along with the belief that it would cure athletes foot and wait for it.. … . BALDNESS. Its just good to know that the pharma industry didn't just now become corrupt. 5. Nicholas Cage bought a pet octopus once because he sincerely thought it might help with his acting. Hey I cant say anything here i wanna buy a monkey just because i think it would be cool. Luckily my state allows it. Now just to find the vendor. *rubs hands together maliciously. 6. Nicholas Cage also once did magic mushrooms with his cat. OK. Alright. Can't say that I wouldn't do the same with Bobaba. Bonus fact. Ethnologist and psychedelics advocate Terence McKenna posited that psilocybin caused the primitive brain’s information-processing capabilities to rapidly reorganize, which in turn kick-started the rapid evolution of cognition that led to the early art, language, and technology written in Homo sapiens’ archaeological record.” 7. Steve Jobs relieved stress by soaking his feet in Apple’s company toilets. Yeaahh. Ima just leave this right here. 8. There is enough sperm in one single man to impregnate every woman on earth. No men this is not a challenge. Just a fact. I once knew a student who received in-school suspension when an English teacher told him he was sitting there doing nothing. His response was “actually i'm hard at work producing thousands of sperm right now if you don't mind. Thank you very much.” I felt so bad for the kid because it was not only a true fact but we had just learned it 2 periods before in biology. He was suspended from class for repeating a true fact learned in class.?.. I wonder what happened to that cute guy? Oh well.. 9. It is impossible to sneeze with your eyes open. Now this is a challenge for men. You're gonna want to use pepper and be sure your camera is recording before your multiple attempts. Good luck. 10. France was still executing people by guillotine when the first Star Wars movie came out. Well to be frank, i’m a little jealous of the entertainment children got to witness while im over here watching grown men play with lasers. I had to wait so long before just an arm was cut off. They saw disembodiment for breakfast. 11. All swans in England belong to the queen. Dang Mrs. Queen lady. Can a brother get a swan. Also one of them slick mofos ran up in my picnic and ruined my day. The governments gotta pay for that. I'm emotionally distraught and them was some good groceries Mrs. Lady. Dang --- Dang- a poem by a humble individual in England clearly just tryna enjoy some groceries 12. It is estimated that millions of trees are planted by forgetful squirrels that buried their nuts. Yo i just wanna give a shout out to all the forgetful squirrels in the world. Yall da best. Even if y'all are secretly very intelligent and doing the handy work of mother earth and being true to nature. That's even cooler and you get all my respect. And I'm sorry to that one squirrel i busted in the head and most likely body when i was younger. If your reading this. I was young and dumb and i apologize. You didn't deserve that. Guys i hit this squirrel really hard SOO unintentionally. I felt so bad. It was a little funny at the time though. 13. Judge Judy makes $45 million a year. Does Judge Judy need an assistant? “Ok Ok Ok STBK. I seez the benefits that come with da art of mastering yogic practice. My question to you tho isss. Which yogic practice is most effective to give the results I seek but also efficient enough to fit into my busy daily schedule?” If you, like my slightly illiterate acquaintance here, are running into the same troubles, I may have a solution. "Hold up. Waaaaiiiiitt. For those of yall who dont know about yOga, click this... Liiiiiink. To be well informed on the topic before immersing yourself in more complex techniiiiques." "DO YOGA EVERYDAY"- STBK Dogg A little insight to the ins and outs of Yoga: The practice of Yoga has many different divisions of Yogic practices, but there are 7 typical classifications for the different types of Yoga. The seven principle types of Yoga are Bhakti Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Karma Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Tantric Yoga. Bhakti yoga Also called Bhakti marga (literally the path of Bhakti ), is a spiritual path or spiritual practice within Hinduism focused on loving devotion towards a personal god. Hatha Simply refers to all the other styles of yoga (ashtanga, Iyengar, etc.) that are grounded in a physical practice. Jñāna yoga Also known as Jnanamarga, is one of the several spiritual paths in Hinduism that emphasizes the "path of knowledge", also known as the "path of self-realization". It is one of the three classical paths (margas) for moksha (salvation, liberation). Karma yoga Also called Karma marga, is one of the three spiritual paths in Hinduism, one based on the " yoga of action". To a karma yogi, right action is a form of prayer. It is one of the paths in the spiritual practices of Hindus, others being Jnana yoga (path of knowledge) and Bhakti yoga (path of loving devotion to a personal god) Kundalini. Yoga practice is equal parts spiritual and physical. This style is all about releasing the kundalini energy in your body said to be trapped, or coiled, in the lower spine. Raja yoga Is declared as the goal where one experiences nothing but the bliss of the undisturbed, the natural state of calm, serenity, peace, communion within and contentment. The Raja yoga goal and state is synonymous with various terms, such as Amanaska, Unmani and Sahaj. Tantra Yoga Is an holistic approach that maintains that the objectives of Yoga can be pursued by the use of any manifestation of Nature, including the physical body and sexuality. Other types of yoga include: Don't Forget To Subscribe- a stretching technique using your fingers to enter ones email address. In a sufficiently induced mindful state one may even ponder a monthly subscription. (One of our personal favorite techniques) Also: Anusara. Anusara is a modern-day version of hatha yoga, most similar to vinyasa in that it focuses on alignment, but with more focus on the mind-body-heart connection. Ashtanga. It's expected of you to know the series. Vinyasa yoga stems from ashtanga as the flowing style linking breath to movement. Bikram. Features a sequence of set poses in a sauna-like room—typically set to 105 degrees and 40% humidity. Hatha. Simply refers to all the other styles of yoga (ashtanga, Iyengar, etc.) that are grounded in a physical practice. Iyengar. Focuses on alignment as well as detailed and precise movements Jivamukti. At its core, this style emphasizes connection to Earth as a living being, so most Jivamukti devotees follow their vegetarian philosophy. Vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa means "to place in a special way" and, in this case, yoga postures. Restorative. Restorative yoga focuses on winding down after a long day and relaxing your mind. At its core, this style focuses on body relaxation. Restorative yoga also helps to cleanse and free your mind. Yin yoga. Is a slow-paced style of yoga with seated postures that are held for longer periods of time. Yin can also be a meditative yoga practice that helps you find inner peace. Get down with the get down! Now after reading this, if you don't go out and buy a yoga mat just to be able to put your foot behind your head. Then I guess not everyone is as dedicated as us. Which is fair. Bye. *grabs mats and runs. *forgets car keys. *keeps running. Introduction to yoga: Yoga can be defined in many ways. As a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures. Yoga is widely practiced for health and relaxation. Now its time to learn many of the great benefits of yoga as well as maybe see some of them in your life from regular practice. If you are interested in upgrading you life, here are some benefits that will flourish: Stress reduction Many studies have shown that yoga may help reduce stress and anxiety. It can also enhance your overall mood and sense of well-being. Improved fitness Practicing yoga may lead to improved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. Improves digest!on There are plenty of high-fiber and probiotic-rich foods that can help get things moving, but practicing yoga can benefit your digestive system as well. “There are many postures, especially twists, designed to massage the internal organs and keep food moving along,” says Yoga Means Business co-founder and yoga director Jen Kluczkowski. “Easier digestion equals more energy for the body. In yoga, we always twist right first, then left, to follow the path of the digestive system.” Fights them cravings Sometimes you can’t help but shovel food into your mouth, especially post-workout when your body is in desperate need of fuel. However, yoga can help build up your defenses against the urge to go overboard. A study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association found that a steady yoga practice is tied to mindful eating, particularly through breath awareness, which is shown to strengthen the mind-body connection. “The quality of the breath is a direct reflection of what is going on in the body. [Through yoga you learn to read it and work with it],” Genevieve Gilbreath, founder of Herbal Zap L.L.C states. Improves yo brain function You may have heard that exercising can improve brain function, but yoga specifically has some particularly very real mental benefits. “Yoga uses the body and breath as tools to create equanimity and clarity in the mind,” says Kluczkowski. “By synching movement with steady, conscious breath, we feel less stress and can better focus. A study in the Journal of Physical Activity and Health found that 20 minutes of Hatha yoga stimulates brain function more than walking or jogging on the treadmill for the same amount of time.” Boost that immunity! According to a study published in the journal PLoSOne, yoga has been found to boost immunity at the cellular level through changes in one's gene expression. According to the research, these benefits can be experienced fairly quickly. Also, by simply improving your overall health, yoga is able to strengthen your internal defense system. Results in hotter sex Yes, you read that correctly. Time spent on the mat can greatly enhance your time spent tween’ dem sheets. There are a few ways in which yoga can improve your sex life. One, it makes you more flexible—nuff’ said. Two, it helps decrease anxiety and increases body awareness and confidence. Finally, on a physical level, it speeds the release of hormones that boost arousal and increase blood flow to the genital area, which is important for doggy bones. And fellas, you may want to make sure she’s into yoga, too. A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found yoga to seriously enhance a woman’s experience in the bedroom via greater lubrication, and more powerful orgasms as a result of strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. (I mean, do I need to go on after that? Ok.) Well it also Makes you better at your job “It’s becoming better known that insights, creativity, and ideas only come by giving yourself space and stillness,” says Kluczkowski. “And yoga and meditation are becoming increasingly essential to success in today’s business world. Yoga moves the body, creating physical space and stirring up energy. Then, when we sit in meditation, we observe that energy settle so we feel deep stillness. This extra ‘head space’ leads to better decisions, better work relationships, and increased productivity.” Plus the sex thing if ya know what i mean. Amirite? Promotes deep relaxation “One of the biggest benefits of yoga is that it can activate the parasympathetic nervous system,” notes Gilbreath. This offsets the fight-or-flight responses associated with the nervous system. “Yoga also helps to reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Most people have too much stress in their lives and thus too much cortisol in their bodies. Excess cortisol can suppress thyroid function, decrease muscle tissue, increase blood pressure, lower immunity, and increase inflammatory responses.” So by regularly practicing yoga you help counteract those effects.
